In fact, the national airline operates 26 weekly frequencies from Rome Fiumicino to Genoa, which with flights to/from Sardinia will increase to 30 weekly frequencies.
Frequencies on the intercontinental network are also growing for the summer period. Starting July 30, as a result of the growth in demand to/from the United States, ITA Airways will include an additional flight on the Rome FCO - New York JFK route that will operate 3 times a week: on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, from July 30 to September 17, with Airbus A330 aircraft, bringing the total offer on the route from 14 frequencies to 17 frequencies per week.
Also, from August, the Rome Buenos Aires routes. and Rome Sao Paulo will become daily. Unfortunately, Japan continues not to reopen its borders, so Planned launch of Rome-Tokyo link is postponed, currently in September, but until there is certainty about the possibility of unrestricted movement, or nearly so, it will be impossible to activate the route that should be operated with the A330.
