From today, June 21, traveling to New Zealand becomes easier. The borders of the world's most isolated nation during the Covid reopened last May 22, and now the rules are being updated making it easier to travel to the All Blacks nation.
How entry rules change from today
Starting today, it will no longer be necessary to undergo a pre-departure swab for all passengers bound for Aukland and the nation's other international airports.
However, the other requirements do not change, namely:
- Be fully vaccinated, excluding children under the age of 16 (here the list of recognized vaccines and the required doses)
- Complete the online travel declaration, in effect an authorization to travel to the nation, without which it will not be allowed.
- Obtaining the NZeTA, or the electronic visa at a cost of 12$ NZ
- Undergo swabbing on the day of arrival
- Undergo a second swab by day 5 after arrival in New Zealand
In conclusion
New Zealand also reduces requirements And it does so ahead of schedule. In fact, as of today there remains only the requirement to submit to the swab on the day of arrival and a second time by the 5th day.
