Volotea unveiled its 10th anniversary commemorative aircraft today, whose name is Lázaro Ros, one of the company's founders. The new livery celebrates this important milestone and, at the same time, aims to look forward to Volotea's next ten years. The aircraft's metallic color palette represents the future of aviation and all the opportunities associated with it.
Saffron Brand Consultants, the company behind the rebranding of Facebook in Meta, has reinterpreted the livery of Volotea and designed the commemorative A320, adding a futuristic touch but without losing the brand's unmistakable Mediterranean image. The metallic color palette used in the new design is meant to pay homage to the next ten years of Volotea. The gradient was achieved with only five colors (going from Volotea red to metallic silver), employing mica particles, which add a metallic effect without interfering with the aircraft's systems.
"We are very excited to present our new livery today. Volotea's design and engineering team has been working for months on this aircraft. We all can't wait to see it fly!" commented Lázaro Ros, co-founder of Volotea.
"Volotea is a young and enterprising airline with firm values. Planning the commemorative aircraft and revising its already highly original and distinctive livery were exciting and very fun times. We took the opportunity to ask ourselves what the livery of the next decade would look like. We were inspired by the desire to continue on the path we started with great optimism in 2012, while also trying to imagine the next years of the company. Big challenges such as personnel, passengers, and the environment loom on the horizon, so we wanted to design a lighter livery that looks to the future with renewed optimism. Happy birthday, Volotea!" said Roberto Verona, creative director of Saffron.
