All other passengers, however, will be happy to know, after Milan Linate, the revolution is also coming to Rome Fiumicino. New scanners capable of seeing inside the luggage in 3d are being installed. So goodbye to the practice of having to remove PCs, tablets, liquids and any other "sensitive" items from luggage. Now you take a tray, put your bag on it, empty your pockets and off you go.
It sounds like a small thing, but this translates into much less stress, quicker checks, and most importantly, you avoid forgetting items in the bin because you are in a hurry to catch your flight.
This novelty is currently in operation in the fast track lanes and the family fast track, but slowly, as can be seen from the signage, it will be installed on all trails.
