Airbnb, the well-known platform for short-term rental of facilities, definitely banned the possibility of holding parties of any kind at the facilities themselves. Introduced by the company in 2020, the ban was intended to reinforce other restrictions already in place for the Covid-19 pandemic. But, now, it has been confirmed permanently.
Airbnb: the stop to parties is permanent
As the platform points out, since the ban was put in place, reports from users have practically halved. And, given the excellent results, Airbnb has decided to confirm it.
Revealing the benefits arrived at by the stop-party policy is precisely a statement released by the San Francisco-based company. In the communication, Airbnb states the existence of a correlation between the denial to hold house parties-introduced in 2020-and a 44% annual decrease in reports received, resulting in increase in positive feedback.
Important are the consequences imposed by the platform's regulations against users who violate this prohibition. In the event that it is guests who violate the regulation by hosting house parties, Airbnb may decide to Remove their account. Whereas, if the host is organizing parties or events, the company can cancel the rental advertisement.
In addition to banning house parties, Airbnb has decided to Remove the limit of 16 guests per dwelling introduced as a restriction during the pandemic.
However, the rental giant's surprises do not end there.
Airbnb, the withdrawal from China
The American company has decided to discontinue its activities in China, removing by summer all posts related to apartments in the Asian country. Among the reasons for this decision are the high costs and difficulties due to the continuous lockdowns imposed by China.
Established in 2016, China's relationship with Airbnb has never made exciting profits, leading to the inevitable farewell. However, the platform lets it be known that an office in Beijing will remain open.
