- The following Terms and Conditions govern the Global Dining benefit of American Express Platinum Card, which includes a Restaurant Discount in Italy. Registration for the offer is required to be eligible.
- As an American Express Platinum base cardholder, you will be able to receive, upon registration of the card with the benefit, an annual discount visible on your statement equal to what you spend on one or more card transactions, up to a maximum of €150 at participating restaurants in Italy.
- The benefit is valid only at participating restaurants consulted at: americanexpress.co.uk/global-dining. The number and list of participating restaurants is subject to change, so to make sure you can get the discount under the terms and conditions of the benefit, please consult that list before booking.
- Registration for the benefit can be done through the Amex Offer platform (e.g., via the Amex App or restricted area of the website) starting July 5, 2022. Registration will be automatically renewed on January 1 for subsequent validity periods, with no need for re-registration until December 31, 2024.
- Period of validity: the discount will be obtainable from the first date of card registration until December 31, 2022, and for each subsequent yearly period starting from January 1 to December 31 of each year until December 31, 2024.
- The expiration of the Global Dining benefit may be subject to change, American Express reserves the right to change (e.g., by bringing forward) the expiration of the benefit by notifying holders.
- To qualify for the annual rebate, the merchant must charge the transaction amount to the card account by December 31 of each year.
- The benefit is valid only for American Express Platinum base cardholders. If you switch to another type of card, your registration for the benefit will lapse and be removed from your card account.
- To be eligible for the benefit, your card must be valid and in good standing. If your card is no longer valid and in good standing, American Express reserves the right to revoke your eligibility for the benefit.
- The benefit applies only for food services within the restaurant chosen from the participating restaurants.
- Exclusions: the benefit is not valid for voucher purchases, coupons, transactions involving a deposit charged in advance by the restaurant, cancellations and "no-show" fees, take-out and home delivery services.
- The benefit is valid only for transactions made with the basic card registered for the benefit (including the American Express Card inserted in an electronic wallet). Transactions made with additional cards do not count toward the discount.
- The benefit does not apply to transactions made through other payment instruments, including aggregators operated by third parties.
- The rebate is not convertible into cash or other form of payment.
- The rebate will be visible in the statement within 5 business days of the registered card transaction, but in some cases (e.g., operational timelines related to transaction charge) it may take up to 150 days from the transaction date.
- In case of refund or cancellation of the transaction made, the discount will be reversed from the card statement.
