The same element, a rather recurring symbol, can be found on other buildings: near the old barn, the so-called "grenier," near the Windmill Museum, at Caudan Waterfront, on the remains of coral formations within the harbor.

#2 Chateau de Labourdonnais

A true jewel of Mauritian heritage, Labourdonnais Castle was erected in 1856 and is surrounded by a lush garden, where it is possible to encounter a few giant tortoises strolling quietly through the orchard. The colorful fruit trees are particularly important for the production of local delicacies such as jams, sweet specialties, fruit juices, and also the famous and fragrant Mauritian rum. You can taste and buy all these products in the castle boutique at the end of the visit. Or, if you prefer, take a seat at the delightful restaurant La Table du Château.

#3 Eureka "La Maison Créole," Mocha

Step into the wonderful historic building "La Maison Créole," an imposing mansion, dating back to 1830 distinguished by 109 doors. Here you can immerse yourself in the lives of the more affluent Mauritians of colonial times, immerse yourself in the property's verdant gardens, and you can even attend one of the concerts or events that are organized. If you are a foodie, take a seat at Eureka House Restaurant to enjoy traditional Creole dishes.

#4 The Way of Tea

An intriguing three-stage visit with three different colonial mansions for a journey through the aromas and flavors of the world of tea. It starts at Domaine des Aubineaux, passing through Domaine de Bois Chéri to arrive at Domaine de Saint Aubin.
