From the upcoming 2022 - 2023 winter season, ITA Airways is reinforcing its presence at the airports of Reggio Calabria and Lamezia Terme, demonstrating the importance the flag carrier reserves towards the Italian territories and their connectivity.
Flights will go on sale from today, August 10, on the website and at all travel agencies and airport ticket offices. Calabria is confirmed as an area of extreme importance for both ITA Airways that for Italy representing a great tourism and cultural potential. The operation of flights also for the coming season confirms the strong partnership with Sacal, but above all the close connection with the Calabrian territory.
This achievement further consolidates the Calabrian airport network and is produced by the precise intuition that the Region of Calabria had in establishing a system capable of developing value for the whole of Calabria. The airports of Lamezia Terme and Reggio Calabria, in fact, with the doubling of flights on the main hubs of Milan Linate and Rome Fiumicino, will be able to guarantee connections to major European destinations. Specifically, the new flights will guarantee to fly to Rome Fiumicino from Reggio Calabria at 6:30 a.m. and return from the Roman airport, on the same day, at 9:30 p.m.
In addition, this activity will soon be complemented by the structural upgrading of the Tito Minniti passenger terminal in Reggio Calabria and the overcoming of critical operational-aeronautical issues that will be achieved thanks to the important intervention of the National Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC).
ITA Airways connections will be operated to/from Reggio Calabria and Lamezia Terme to/from Milan Linate and Rome Fiumicino airports and will have the following schedules:
