We are always very aware of new entries and defections when it comes to Priority Pass, today we talk about two new entities that have joined the network at an airport, London Heathrow, that is very popular with Italians.

In Terminal 2, however, the pub/restaurant "Oceanic" has arrived.
Thus, two new restaurants are added to the list of many others already accessible to Priority Pass holders. Unfortunately, however, this benefit only applies if you are direct Priority Pass subscribers , while it does not apply to holders through American Express Platinum. Same for "The big Smoke" at Terminal 2 and the eponymous pub present at London Luton.

How to get detailed information
The only way for up-to-date information is to refer to the Priority Pass app which shows only the lounges where you have access based on the type of card held.
The reason is quickly explained. Each visit a user makes to a lounge "costs" Amex an amount, probably less than PP asks Amex to pay in the case of a visit to a restaurant.
It is definitely a discussion between these two parties since Priority Passes obtained through other credit cards do not have this limitation and can take advantage of the entire wallet without restriction.
At the moment, this is not an issue in Italy, there are no contracted restaurants in our country, but it might happen that an unsuspecting user, seeing the PP logo, might think he is entitled to the credit. The operation would be successful but you would immediately find the charge on the american express linked to the card.
