Seville, what to see? It is the city of a thousand colors and you will fall in love with it too, it is one of the main sights in Spain after Barcelona. A city that allows you to experience a relaxed atmosphere and at the same time lively for the many events and opportunities to experience.
The city of Andalusia represents all the color, beauty, and atmosphere you can expect from a Spanish city, but you will have to multiply it at least by 3: Seville in fact is constantly evolving and knows how to make you experience magical emotions!
A place with great weather almost all year round, except in the height of summer. In fact, in July and August it reaches 42 degrees very often, although in the evening the temperature drops as low as 10 to 15 degrees. Every corner of Seville is rich in art, Mudejar style, churches, and lots and lots of vibrant nature.
Western and Islamic cultures meet, creating a new stylistic synthesis that leaves space and reflection among the densest and most history-rich alleys.

Bring your smartphone, an instant camera and start dreaming. The ways to get to Seville can be among the most diverse, with many choosing to arrive in the city by plane and then land at theSan Pablo Airport.
It is located only 10 kilometers from the city center, to reach the heart of the Andalusian city therefore you will only need to take a cab or take the local EA line bus. The route on the bus will allow you to start discovering the city in all its splendor precisely because it will touch on strategic points that you will surely later visit.
After finding your favorite hotel and perhaps enjoying tapas in a typical little place, you can venture out into the typical Andalusian streets. So let's see what you should definitely not miss once you land in mythical Seville.
The Cathedral of Seville
Unmistakably Gothic style combining with Renaissance style to create the Cathedral of St. Mary of Seville. There are five naves that constitute it and we also find the Royal Chapel and the Main Chapel. The history of the Cathedral is really interesting because it rose on the site where the Mosque Mayor used to be, unfortunately razed to the ground during the 15th century.
Work on the construction of the Cathedral, as we know it today, began in 1402 and saw its first glow in 1506, paid for by the salaries of the clergy of the time. Of the ancient Mosque, only the minaret remains, which was later converted into a bell tower that is now called Giralda, a symbol of the city of Seville.
It has been a UNESCO heritage site since 1987, there are many masterpieces inside from an artistic point of view, such as some carved scenes from the life of Christ by Pierre Dancart.
Inside the Cathedral is also the tomb of Christopher Columbus, dating from 1892, which is very impressive to see. Also interesting is the Sacristia de los Calices, where we find a painting made by Goya in 1817 named "Santa Yusta y Rufin."
To visit the city's most beloved place of worship, a ticket must be purchased; it is advisable to buy a skip-the-line because Seville is packed with tourists throughout the year. For students under 26, there are reduced rates, otherwise the price is 12 euros.
A walk inside the Parque Maria Luisa
Walking inside this park will remain an indelible memory in the lives of those who visit Seville. It truly constitutes the emblem of the city and reminds us that beauty sometimes has a connotative name, this time it is called: Plaza de España. We find it just inside Maria Luisa Park, built in 1929 for the Ibero-American Exposition by native artist Gonzalez.
It is really hard to explain in words, but it is an expertly decorated plaza with lots of marbles, ceramics, and its semicircular shape is clearly reminiscent of a symbolic embrace of Spain toward its colonies. There are as many as 58 seats that present in an original way-and somewhat reminiscent of the Portuguese style-all the Spanish provinces. We also find again the waterway that recalls the land of discoveries, America.
Every corner of the Plaza is exceptional for taking a photo, sitting and enjoying Flamenco performers and admiring nature or, during summer evenings, a nice concert.
The neighborhood of Triana
A distinctive neighborhood, Where the ancient coexists with the modern, a bit like in the whole city perhaps. A neighborhood of potters, sailors and artists, the riverfront accompanies us on our walk, and we can't help but notice the pottery workshops, still present and unique where you can buy something made on the spot.
Right on the banks of the river, we find many restaurants, bars offering good music and excellent cocktails. There is also a fantastic market, recommended for historical remains to admire from both the Arab and Roman civilizations.
Seville, what to see? Reales Alcazares
An impressive mixture of styles for these Royal Palaces so much so that it leaves its guests breathless. We find this wonderful place within the list of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is an example of Mudejar architecture that we can also find in other Spanish cities such as Zaragoza and Alicante, for example.
It is an impressive complex to visit in several hours, as its area is 17000 square meters, the 7-hectare garden really hosts many natural varieties to observe. In addition, you can choose a guided tour in luxury and history or be surprised by what you see.
As for the entrance fee, a guided tour can also be purchased, depending a lot on what you prefer. The cost is 13.50 euros.
Seville, what to see? There are also other points of interest you can see in Seville, we recommend:
- Pilate's house: a masterpiece of 15th-century Renaissance art. Inspired by the house of Pontius Pilate in Jerusalem, the Marquis Fadrique, it seems, noticed that the distance between his house and the nearest church was the same as the distance between Pilate's house and the crucifixion site. Along the way, he had 14 Stations of the Cross installed then, the first one leading right into his home. The building is from 1533, embodies the Renaissance, Gothic and of course Mudejar styles, and the patio really leaves one in awe with as many as 24 arches with Roman busts and statues.
- Barrio de San Bartolomé: a maze of wonderful little streets, many are the stores where you can buy something unique, perfect for a stroll.
- Setas/Metropol Parasol: really an unusual place full of contemporary artistic cues. We find it in the Plaza de la Encarnacion, it looks like a spider's web standing on a really original structure and a wonderful view of the city and perhaps a bit unusual.

Among the things to see and do in Seville are countless corners of history, bakeries where you can sample delicacies, and cafes where you can enjoy excellent panoramic views.
