What is Eat Around Town
Eat Around Town is a partnership between Marriott Bonvoy and rewards network. Through this partnership, members of the hotel chain's loyalty program can Earn Bonvoy points by spending at more than 16,000 restaurants across the U.S. You can search for venues on the website, there is everything from Deli to Diner, Cafe to fancy restaurant.
The operation is simple: you register with your Bonvoy credentials and link your accounts. That done, you need to register the credit card(s) you will use to pay the bill. And that's it.
The promotion that gives away 6,000 Bonvoy points
This promo allows you, during the first 60 days from the time of registration, to earn 6,000 bonus points in addition to the Marriott Bonvoy points you earn for every dollar spent at participating restaurants and bars.
This is how bonuses are released:
- 1,000 bonus points the first time you spend $ 30 or more
- 2,000 bonus points the second time you spend $ 30 or more
- 3,000 bonus points the third time you spend $ 30 or more
Beware though, it is not enough to just spend, you must also leave a review of the restaurant you visited and be subscribed to the Eat Around Town newsletter.
Last caveat: there are places that do not recognize benefits every day, you can check this in the tab of the restaurant/bar .
Also, for a limited time, you can earn 8 points for every dollar spent dining and paying with your linked card. This promo expires in a few days, but there are often similar offers that allow you to increase the amount of points you earn.
Accumulation depends from restaurant to restaurant and is generally a multiplier of the amount spent. If you have a status in Bonvoy, such as the Gold which is included in the monthly fee of the American Express Platinum, 6 points will be accumulated for every dollar spent.
