Ryanair has become the first Irish airline to join the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower network, recognizing Sunflower ribbons, the globally known symbol for invisible disabilities. This new initiative is part of the airline's ongoing focus on the customer experience by enabling Ryanair's pilots, cabin crew and service teams to further support passengers, making travel easier and more accessible for all.
With more than 1.5 million Ryanair customers requiring special assistance each year, the airline, with support from Hidden Disabilities Sunflower, has developed and implemented a comprehensive annual training program to identify the sunflower symbol and help its staff gain a deeper understanding of invisible disabilities. Ryanair crews located at 90 bases are ready to support those wearing the sunflower symbol by offering help, understanding or simply more time.
Ryanair's Tracy Kennedy said, "As Europe's No. 1 airline, Ryanair carries more than 165 million passengers a year, more than 1.5 million of whom require special assistance and are cared for by our dedicated team. Therefore, we are pleased to be the first Irish airline to recognize Sunflower ribbons, enabling our 17,000 employees at our 90 bases to better assist our customers with invisible disabilities."

Passengers with invisible disabilities can fly to 36 countries knowing that they will be supported by Ryanair crew at 228 airports."
