Indonesia introduces electric visa on arrival for travelers from 26 countries! All crazy about Indonesia? We have to tell the truth, the allure of this country and some especially very touristy destinations, gives us a bit of a "booking thrill."
After watching so many videos, photos, reading articles, Bali in the common imagination is wonderful land, ready to welcome digital nomads from all over the world to its beautiful villas and guest houses! It takes little of the rest to travel: you can daydream and in some cases book a nice flight to escape from your routine.
Thus, we are very happy to announce that Indonesia has initiated a new service: e-VOA to expedite entry into the country for travelers from as many as 26 countries (including Italy).

Hopefully! Indeed, it seems that to October 2022 Indonesia has already partnered with VFS Global "Visa Facilitation Services Global," a company that provides outsourcing and technology services for governments around the world.
This collaboration came about to enable fast check-in practices for visitors. So as early as October, visitors could receive the famous Visa-On-Arrival sticker in advance and also be entitled to a priority desk. There was a charge for this service, the price being around 35.00 euros plus the normal service fee of 30.00 euros. Or the express service we mentioned for about 90.00 euro. But now we have the new e-VOA, and so it should be even easier and faster!
Recall that ASEAN countries, on the other hand, do not require a visa to enter Indonesia. ASEAN is none other than the Association of Southeast Asian States which was formed in 1967 and 10 countries are members. Among them are: Brunei, Cambodia, Philippines, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
How does e-VOA work?
E-VOA is only available if you enter Indonesia from Jakarta and Bali airports. The price is 30.00 euros approx., plus any fees to be paid based on your credit card. To make the e-VOA simply log on to the website, you can safely pay online.
As a reminder, the airports that allow eVisa arrival in Indonesia are: Soekarno-Hatta in Jakarta and Ngurah Rai in Bali.
The e-VOA works in a very simple way, but there are requirements to be met and some rules for submitting your required documents, let's see them together:
NB: Documents must be submitted in JPG/JPEG/PNG format with a maximum size of 200 Kb. Also, before submitting your e-VOA you need to create an account at the same site, register and confirm your registration by email. In addition, you need to pay attention to all the steps for the operation to be successful.
- Page of one's passport complete with biographical data and valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival in Indonesia;
- Passport-size photograph;
- Email;
- Valid credit card.
One can enter with e-VOA for tourism but also for other reasons such as: institutional meetings, business meetings, buying goods, or one can simply transit.

How does it work for the entry of minors into Indonesia with e-VOA?
It is important to specify that the minor must also hold an e-VOA separate from his or her family. So also infants and children, even if they are included in their parents' passports.

It is good to check, before payment and acceptance of the application, that all the information entered is correct: when it is processed, the e-VOA can no longer be changed. So the information entered within the e-VOA form must be the same as what is on one's passport.
Otherwise, the e-VOA will not be valid and therefore there will be no refund. This particular measure refers to Human Rights Regulation Number 44 of 2015. And it states that the immigration officer at ports of entry, reserves the right to deny entry into Indonesia to a foreigner who provides incorrect information in the visa application.
Where do you understand whether your e-VOA has been accepted?
If the e-VOA was successful, then it will be available in one's account and then immigration officials can verify it.
However, the advice is to print it in hard copy as well because there could be a trivial system failure that could ruin the trip.
