With a post on the official facebook page, theBergamo Airport announced the new rules for nighttime access inside the airport terminal.
Update night access rules. As a result of the new ENAC ordinance referring to the use of the airport facility, starting Dec. 3, access to the terminal at night (10 p.m.-3 a.m.) is allowed only to persons with tickets and any accompanying persons.
In addition, in order to ensure greater order and maximum compliance with the new regulations, always during the night time slot the air terminal can only be accessed from access doors 1 and 3.
Considering that the airport has no night flights, this decision seems to me to be made only to prevent people who do not intend to travel from going to the airport in the night. Other airports also have a similar policy, designed solely to prevent the public area of the terminal from becoming a kind of dormitory for homeless people.
