Christmas early for bargain hunters: lost and found auction kicks off at Malpensa and Linate airports

We will be spoiled for choice when - between next December 12 and 16 - will kick off Malpensa and Linate lost and found auction..
A golden opportunity for bargain-hunters, partly because the "catalog" is one that can - potentially - please everyone's taste. Watches, hoverboards, e-book readers, hundreds of smartphones, bicycles, musical instruments, cricket bats, suitcases loaded with clothes, and ... and yes: there's even a rice cooker and a bicycle.
What's new this year is that the auction will not be held in attendance (as was the case before Covid), but Bargain "hunters" will have to be content to raise bids by the click of a button. In fact, the auction will take place completely online and always with an eye on the deadlines.
From a quick look at the complete list of objects (consultable here) you can already get an idea of the potential bargains to be had as of 12 noon on Dec. 12. For example, for a lot that includes 13 iPhones and iPods starts at a base price of 130 euros. But there are also as many as 15 helmets (for motorcycles and bikes) starting at 50 euros and also 9 laptops with starting price set at 120 euros.
In short, it will be an early Christmas for all those looking for bargains to grab at prices (at least at the start) well below their potential value.
The lots and auction times may be consulted online. Those who would like to see the objects in person, instead, can go directly to the headquarters of G.I.V.G. SRL in Varese, Via Lorenzo Ghiberti 1, Monday through Friday, during office hours 9-12:30 a.m. and 3-5:30 p.m. (upon request by e-mail to telematiche.va@givg.it ).
