Nice marketing initiative at T5 in London Heathrow. At the home of British Airways in recent weeks, very unusual passengers have been spotted: a crew from the space shuttle Enterprise in high uniform.
Star Trek invaded Heathrow
British Airways brought the magic of Hollywood to Heathrow with a special Star Trek takeover at the airline's Terminal 5 headquarters to celebrate the launch of Paramount+ on board the airline's international flights.
Unsuspecting customers and colleagues were taken by surprise when Starfleet cadres made their way through the airport to board USS Enterprise Flight 1701 bound for Starbase 1. Stunned customers about to board flights were seen taking photos and assisting lieutenants seeking directions to their boarding gate.
The unusual scenes at the airport were to celebrate the launch of a dedicated Paramount+ channel on the Highlife entertainment platform, which will allow British Airways customers to watch popular series from the comfort of their seats when traveling on any long-haul flight in any cabin .
Authentic Starfleet costumes from Star Trek: Discovery and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. were carefully brought straight from the set, wearing the uniforms were real Star Trek-loving BA flight attendants, and two of them were transformed into Vulcans by the Star Trek prosthetics team and dressed in state-of-the-art Vulcan tunics.
Original props were used for boarding, including Tribbles, Federation passports and an original Tricorder.

It was great to see so many Star Trek fans from across the company come together to help us celebrate this launch, with many colleagues excited to exchange their wings with the Starfleet emblem for a day.
Anna Priest, Chief Marketing Officer, UK, at Paramount, said, "This partnership is a fantastic platform for our continued growth in the UK, allowing us to introduce millions of customers a year to some of the best shows anywhere, available on Paramount+. We are confident that British Airways customers will enjoy what they see and be encouraged to continue exploring the mountain of entertainment on offer."
