Terminal A at Athens airport is the one generally designated for intra-EU flights , while boarding area B is for intercontinental flights and those to non-Schengen European countries.

Location

The lounge is located practically at the end of the terminal-it is the last in a series of lounges including Lufthansa's waiting room, Aegean.

Access

Access is allowed primarily to Priority Pass holders, this card in fact allows access to thousands of lounges around the world for free. It is possible to take out an annual subscription or take advantage of the free one you get as an American Express holder.

The hall

The lounge is not very large. In fact, during peak seasons such as summer, this lounge often goes out of service. It is a large open space with various types of seating. Like almost all independent lounges, it offers just the bare minimum.

Mainly there are small chairs where you can wait for your flight. Then there is an area with more comfortable bar tables if you want to eat something. I worked on a glass table where there were many outlets, however.

Impossible to talk about services other than wi-fi, and not even too much performance.

Food & Beverage

There is a small buffet at the back of the room, and the proposal is quite basic.

There are sandwiches with various fillings, there is hot soup and pasta salads, as well as the ever-present Greek salad. Best of all were mini desserts; I had some Chocolate Musse.

Much better stocked, compared to the buffet, is the bar. It is not really a bar, as there is a self-service for alcohol, soft drinks, and hot drink machines.

In conclusion

Without infamy or praise, let's say it is comparable to one of the many lounges found around Europe and beyond. The advantage here is that there are other lounges in the terminal, and with the different entry rules, it is easy to find a comfortable place to wait for your flight.
