JFK clubhouse joins Priority Pass network: details

The news was reported to us on our Facebook group and after a quick check we can confirm it: Virgin Atlantic's New York Clubhouse, at JFK Terminal 4, is once again available to passengers of all airlines by joining the Priority Pass network.

The lounge, owned by Virgin Atlantic, at the outbreak of the pandemic had been given under management to Plaza Premium and until late December had remained accessible to Amex Platinum holders. Then, with the resumption of all VS flights, access had been restricted to almost all Amex holders.

The announcement of Priority Pass

With a post on social channels, PP gave the happy news to all holders of the card that allows free access to more than 1,200 lounges worldwide, and without a doubt, the Clubhouse will immediately enter the top5 most beautiful lounges in the network.

Access

Unfortunately, all that glitters is not gold. As expected, the agreement will allow access only during a restricted period of the day, the one with no Virgin Atlantic flights scheduled.

Access will be allowed only between 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m: access as always in the U.S. will be strictly allowed 3 hours before the flight.

Given that flights to Italy and Europe in general leave in the late afternoon from New York, it will not be easy to be able to take advantage of this lounge if you return to Italy. On the contrary, if you have a flight with Delta or other airlines that use this terminal to fly to the U.S. or other destinations, you will be able to take advantage of this lounge without any problem.

Service

While this lounge offers a la carte menus and an enviable wine cellar compared to what is offered by average lounges in the U.S. and beyond, it is likely that reduced service will be offered during hours open to all, but what will not change is the ambiance. which is truly unique starting with the iconic sofa surrounding the pool table.

In conclusion

A good addition to the PP portfolio. Of course, the reduced schedule makes it not usable for the vast majority of Italian travelers, unless you leave on a morning flight, which is not very popular at least for routes to Italy.
