In recent months we had announced the debut of Edition, the Marriott family's new luxury brand, right on Lake Como. Now comes news that there will be a second hotel from the American chain, an even more important debut since the brand set to land in Italy will be Ritz Carlton, one of the most luxurious in the world.

At the end of the renovation, the hotel will have 46 suites out of a total of 105 rooms, two swimming pools, restaurants, a gymnasium, a park, and a private landing so guests can arrive via lake.
The Ritz-Carlton, Bellagio will rise in a strategic location, a 15-minute walk from Bellagio's main tourist attractions, such as Punta Spartivento, Villa Melzi and the gardens of Villa Serbelloni Park. Lake Como is an internationally recognized tourist destination, famous for its scenic views, beautiful towns and impressive villas that have served as the backdrop for numerous blockbuster films, including Casino Royale and Ocean's Twelve.
The hotel will be located just outside the iconic village of Bellagio, which lies on the mainland between the two arms of Lake Como. The property has not been used for the past two decades, although it was acquired with the aim of restoring "the prestigious reputation of the former grand hotel through an extensive restoration and expansion project."
The renovation plan will be one of the most important expansion projects in the Lake Como area in recent years: with an area of 16,500 square meters, it will involve a complete restoration of the property while keeping the building's historical legacy intact.
