Ryanair announces largest summer operation from Naples: 58 routes and 6 new destinations

After recently announcing the new route from Trieste to Barcelona, Ryanair communicated his Largest summer operating for Naples, with 58 routes, including 6 new ones to different destinations, such as. Gdansk, Memmingen, Paphos, Shannon, Trapani and Zakynthos, as well as a Increased frequencies on more than 10 existing routes, including popular routes such as Palermo, Trieste, Toulouse and Valencia.

Ryanair's operations for summer 2023 from Naples include:

•   5 aircraft based 
•   $500 million investment 
•   58 routes, including 6 new ones - Gdansk, Memmingen, Paphos, Shannon, Trapani and Zakynthos 
•   Increased frequencies on more than 10 popular routes, including Copenhagen, London, Malta, Marseille and Turin. 
•   Over 530 flights per week 
•   Growth of 90% compared with the pre-Covid period 
•   3.9 million passengers to/from Naples p.a. 
•  More than 3,300 jobs, including 150 highly skilled aviation jobs

However, if Ryanair wants to continue to grow and invest in the region, the City of Naples must rescind its proposed 2-euro increase in the tax on departing passengers, which would make Naples one of Italy's most expensive and inaccessible airports. The growth of this Summer for Naples is contingent on the elimination of this new tax, ensuring that the Region remains competitive with other areas with low access costs. In addition, we call on the Italian government to immediately eliminate the municipal surtax (6.50 euros per departing passenger) from all Italian airports to ensure continued growth of the Italian tourism economy.
