It is a Friday, March 17 2023 full of unknowns for airport goers: different unions in Italy have called nationwide strikes that threaten to paralyze air traffic.
In fact, according to initial estimates, there are at least 100 thousand travelers affected by disruptions, cancellations and schedule changes.
From handling to Air Dolomiti
Each union, however, will mobilize on different times and durations throughout the day-our advice, therefore, is to contact your airline directly to find out the status of your flight and possible rebookings.
According to the National Civil Aviation Authority (Enac), the main mobilizations affect workers from airport handling enterprises and services (24-hour strike); airline, airport and airport-related workers (24-hour strike); 24-hour, Aviation Services and Aviation Services Assistance company workers, (4-hour strike from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.); the Air Dolomiti pilots, the Italian airline of Lufthansa Group (4-hour strike from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.).
