Volotea celebrated its 50 millionth passenger carried internationally since the launch of its first flight. It is Andrea Framarin, an osteopath from Verona. who traveled aboard the company's fleet on a flight departing from Verona. A considerable milestone, reached just 11 years after the first flight was launched, which testifies to the carrier's steady growth and was celebrated with a special ceremony attended by Carlos Muñoz, President and Founder of Volotea. For the lucky passenger, the company has prepared a very special prize: 50 free tickets that can be used by Framarin to fly, together with his friends, throughout the carrier's network.

Dating back to 2012 is the perfect fit between Volotea and Verona Airport, which in 2015 became one of the low-cost company's 19 operating bases across Europe, employing more than 60 employees.
