The Mexican airline, which boasts 90 years in business, has taken over the March 26 nonstop direct flights from Mexico City to Rome Fiumicino and celebrated at Leonardo Da Vinci Airport the start of direct operations that had been absent for about 10 years.

Aeromexico, in this operational start in Italy, offers four flights per week. The operation will grow to five flights per week from June 1 and from June 15 of the same month offers one flight per day until mid-September.
Toward the daily flight
The route-Rome is the fifth European destination served by the international airport of Mexico City - is operated with B787-8 aircraft and two classes of service: Business (called Premiere) and Economy.
The flight takes off from Fiumicino at 11:15 p.m. and arrives in the Mexican capital at 4:30 am. The return is scheduled to depart Mexico City at 7:15 p.m. and arrive at 7:30 p.m. the next day in Rome. Also at stake would be the likely codeshare with Ita Airways which was pre-announced in Mexico, but which the Italian tricolor company has not yet made official.
Plans for the coming years

The Italian capital represents the fifth European airport, next to those of Paris, London, Amsterdam and Madrid. With this new operation, Aeromexico ensures 54 daily departures to Europe."
