The pandemic had interrupted one of the world's most unique and entertaining services - the Hello Kitty-themed Eva Air flights - now, however, the aircraft of the airline that is part of Star Alliance have resumed flight.

The concept of Eva Air
Taiwan's airline, Eva Air, had years ago launched an evening of special liveries dedicated to the world of character Of the Japanese Sanrio universe, especially on the most famous: Hello Kitty.

Aircraft livery, however, was the most mundane thing about this project. From the check-in experience to the onboard experience, in fact, the big innovation introduced by Eva Air was to create a Unique concept made of marketing, design and entertainment unusual for the world of air transportation.
Where to find "special" flights
Over the past few years, Eva Air has made several special Hello Kitty liveries using both the Airbus A320 and A330 both the Boeing 777. There are currently five special models and all are related to Sanrio characters: Shining Star, Joyful Dream, Hello Kitty Friendship Bows, Travel Fun and Celebration Flight.
The airline has announced the resumption of special flights on some specific routes, but over time the service will be expanded and perhaps it will be possible to take advantage of it on the Milan-Taipei direct flight which Eva Air has been operating since last October 27.
Hello Kitty flights have been scheduled since last March 27 on the cTri-weekly connection from Taipei to Chicago O'Hare., operated with the Hello Kitty "Shining Star" B777-300ER. All flights between Taiwan and the Illinois city are thus operated with the special service.
Finally, since last April 1, the company has been flying in Hello Kitty format. Taipei to Bali (Indonesia) and Sapporo (Japan). Both routes are operated by A330 aircraft: Joyful Dream for the first destination, Celebration Flight for the second. In these cases, the list of freauences varies and is not always covered by the special livery aircraft: the advice is to consult the list of flights and schedules on Eva Air's website.

The Hello Kitty-themed flight experience is something unique in the world of air transportation. In addition to a playful atmosphere that characterizes the journey, dedicated stations are already provided at the airport for those who are to board.
Even the boarding pass is personalized Hello Kitty-themed as well as the uniforms of the ship's personnel, the layout of the interior of aircraft, toilets, toilet paper, pillows, catering and beauty kits.
The Milan-Taipei route
For the time being, therefore, if you want to try to embark on the Hello Kitty experience you must, first of all, travel to Taiwan. And since last November 27, Eva Air itself has inaugurated direct flights from Mlano Malpensa to the international airport of Taiwan Taoyuan with biweekly frquency.
