Norwegian Cruise Line announces onboard debut of musical (Tony Award nominated ) "BeetleJuice"

Norwegian Cruise Line announced today that "Beetlejuice" The Musical will be the flagship production aboard the new Norwegian Viva, along with the full range of the onboard entertainment program, which Will debut in August 2023.

The Tony Award®-nominated musical, which will be staged for the first time at sea, is a 90-minute adaptation of Broadway from Tim Burton's iconic 1988 film.: tells the story of the Deetz family as they attempt to renovate a haunted house. The musical's paranormal gags will be amplified by the Viva Theatre & Club, NCL's three-level multifunctional space, and its immersive special effects with state-of-the-art lighting and sound.

Norwegian Cruise Line is known for its assiduous efforts to bring world-class productions to sea, having already hosted the debut of shows including "Six," "Jersey Boys," "Footloose" and others on the current 18-ship fleet. This announcement also comes on the heels of the hugely popular debut of "Summer: The Donna Summer Musical" aboard Norwegian Prima, featuring a breathtaking performance by "American Idol" season two finalist Kimberley Locke during the 2022 inaugural season.
Following the grand debut of one of the world's most iconic shows, "The Price is Right LIVE," aboard Norwegian Prima last year, Norwegian Viva will also offer a game show live with the cruise industry's first "Press Your Luck LIVE." The immersive experience invites the audience to be part of the classic show and win incredible prizes.
