After recently communicating the new flight From Naples to Riyadh, Wizz Air announced the launch of a New route from Rome Fiumicino to Cairo's Sphinx International Airport.
In this article:
The new route will be active as of June 15 with three flights per week operated with the company's most sustainable aircraft, the A321neo. For Wizz Air this is the Second link from Italy to the Egyptian capital.; the company had already announced twice-weekly flights from Milan Malpensa airport starting on the same day. The new route from Rome Fiumicino airport will be operated on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays.
Also called "the Victorious" in Arabic, Cairo is the capital of Egypt, the largest city in Africa and the Near East, rising on the eastern bank of the Nile River. It is surprising and fascinating for its contrasts between ancient and modern: The city is home to evidence of the different cultures that have succeeded one another over the centuries. The architecture of a bustling metropolis borders the Pyramids of Giza, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, and, a few steps away from them, with the Sphinx and dozens of other places of historical interest. Travelers can also discover the more authentic side of the Egyptian capital by getting lost in the smells and colors of the Khan el Khalili, Egypt's most famous market..
Tamara Nikiforova, Corporate Communications Manager, Wizz Air Group, said, "We are delighted to be able to announce another route from Italy to Cairo, offering a direct and convenient connection between two major capitals. Wizz Air is pleased to continue increasing its operations from Rome, where this summer it will operate its most extensive schedule ever. We continue to strive to offer Italian passengers more and more exciting destinations to explore in a convenient and sustainable way. We look forward to welcoming travelers aboard our modern and efficient aircraft."
