United's example
Some airlines have already begun to invest in air cabs: United, for example, from 2025 plans to fly its eVtol from the airport in Chicago to downtown and from Manhattan to New York Newark airport. Flights last 10-20 minutes for a cost of a hundred dollars.
A technological and sophisticated desgin
Pending the official approval of the FAA and EASA - the U.S. and European federal aviation agencies that regulate air traffic, aircraft and set the standards - the manufacturers of the electric air cabs are launching the internal designs of the various models.
Armchairs, lights, accessories, sky bar-these are all elements that will elevate the comfort level of short trips aboard eVtols (literally electric vertical take-off and landing).
Eve Air's cabin
Eve Air Mobility, a brand developed by aircraft manufacturer Embraer, launched a few months ago a cabin for its air cabs designed by Almadesign.
The cabin seats four (plus the pilot) and features a large screen on the ceiling that creates different color, sound and even olfactory effects for different phases of the flight.
In addition, the cabin is designed with a combination of sustainable materials, from leather to vegetable wool to products made by recycling materials from the shoe industry.
Hyundai Transys' Air Taxis
HT-01 is a special cabin concept for Hyundai Transys eVtols made in collaboration with Priestmangoode, which focuses on attractive colors and modular systems for passenger privacy.
The interior of HT-01 is designed to be smart, efficient, and adaptable and can be reconfigured by transforming the space into open cabin with 4 seats which can be separated by interactive screens.
The HT-01 features large side windows also interactive and can offer personalized flight information, weather, and the latest news.
The exclusivity of Lilium
Meanwhile, the Lilium company has developed its cabin concept with a strong focus on exclusivity.
In fact, the Pioneer Edition of the Lilium Jets features a very light and airy interior design with several customizable options, including even the ability to have six to two seats or a sky bar.
The Pioneer Edition will be produced in a limited edition (only 50 aircraft) than the premium "Club Cabin" configuration, which is available for four passengers and in each case offers a luxurious and comfortable travel experience.
Supernal and the inclusive model
The Uplift from Supernal (an urban air mobility division that is part of the Hyundai Motor Group) is a special aerotaxi designed with inclusiveness and accessibility in mind.
The eVtol is equipped with a universal boarding ramp, or an autonomous passenger ramp that can be used by those with physical, visual, or hearing disabilities.
The cabin, in addition, provides ls possibility of boarding and docking the multimodal caster chair (which eliminates the need for disabled passengers to have to move from a wheelchair to a cabin seat).
To further enhance the travel experience for passengers using wheelchairs, the Uplift has a system of luggage storage and folding seats which can be folded and reconfigured to meet the space needs of various passengers.
