In recent weeks we had announced Marriott's Home&Villas offer, which allowed people to accumulate as much as 40k points with a single 4-night stay.
Marriott has decided to offer this promotion again, but the terms are no longer as convenient. In the very first version, in fact, there was no minimum cost to bear and the only requirement was to stay 4 or more nights in one of the network's many facilities.
A lack that had triggered a hunt for the cheapest possible stay all over the world. In fact, in some locations it was possible to book 4 nights for less than 100$ per night and pocket the rich bonus.

The new offer promises the same bonus of 40,000 Bonvoy points for bookings made by May 19 for minimum 4-night stays by next September 9. Unfortunately, however, there is now also a minimum spend that must be made to trigger the promotion: 1500$.
So goodbye, then, to the mattress run hypothesis, only remains the bonus option to be taken advantage of only if you have a real stay planned and not a reservation made only for points.
Terms and conditions
- A "stay" is defined as four (4) or more consecutive nights spent at the same facility, regardless of check-in and check-out activity.
- Registration is not required for this promotion.
- Marriott Bonvoy members earn 40,000 bonus points for each eligible paid stay at a rental home booked between May 15, 2023 (00:01 EST) and May 19, 2023 (23:59 EST) through the Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy website ("HVMB Platform"). Stays of four (4) or more consecutive nights must be completed during the promotion period, beginning May 15, 2023, up to and including nights spent by September 9, 2023.
- A minimum expenditure for the stay is $ 1,500 USD (or foreign currency equivalent)
- Members earn five (5) basis points per U.S. dollar, or the currency equivalent, on all Eligible Expenses incurred and paid by the Member through the HVMB Platform.
- Bonus points from the promotion are in addition to the base points and any Elite bonus points earned per stay during the promotion's accumulation period.
- Charges that do not qualify for points include, but are not limited to, taxes, reservation fees, cleaning fees, security deposits, and additional services purchased and/or applied to house rentals booked through the HVMB platform.
- Home rentals booked through third-party online retailers are not eligible to earn for this promotion.
- Residences of participating Marriott brands may be featured on the HVMB platform: however, they do not participate in the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program and do not participate in this promotion.
- Reward redemption stays where points are redeemed for part or all of the stay are not eligible for the promotion.
- Provided that the correct Marriott Bonvoy membership account number is added as part of the booking process, points will automatically appear in the member's account from three (3) to six (6) weeks (21-42 days) after the completion of the stay.
- Members who choose to earn miles are not eligible for this promotion.
- No points are awarded for cancellation or no-show
