The offers introduce a friend are promotions that are launched by loyalty programs to Attracting new members by using the members themselves as an advertising vehicle. The system is simple. You enroller convince a friend/relative to enroll in the loyalty program, and you get a reward the moment the user enrolls. For example, American Express uses this system and awards up to 300 thousand points membership their customers who "bring in" new customers.
Recently we have seen a offer of this kind launched by Volare, the loyalty program of ITA Airways and from Limolane, chauffeured car service active in Europe.

What is interesting is that in the world of hotel chains there are not often such offers. For example, Hilton offers a bonus to new members without any presentation. In contrast, with this promo Marriott wants to reward its members with a not inconsiderable bonus.
- Who introduces a friend will receive 2,000 bonus points for each stay made by the new member, up to the first five stays. Up to five friends can be introduced. For a total of 50 thousand bonus Bonvoy points.
- Who is presented will receive 2,000 bonus points per stay in the first year, up to the first five stays; then each new user will receive up to 10,000 bonus points

Is this offer worthwhile?
As always, the free points are very nice to accumulate. In the end 50k Bonvoy points is enough for a couple of free nights around the world (even in the Maldives) and so why not take advantage of it. The same applies if you are not enrolled in the program and are planning to stay at this chain.
