Each fidelity program its own peculiarities, its own rules and promotions. For example, a little-known one is definitely the Singapore Airlines frequent flyer promotion that gives up to 2,000 points, although for Italian travelers the maximum bonus attainable is 1,500 Krisflyer points.
How the KrisFlyer Birthday Bonus Works
First the bad news. This birthday gift can only be obtained once, so there is no point in scheduling 10 routes on one's birthday to rack up points. This means that the bonus will be released only upon completion of the first leg in the validity period.
This bonus is triggered on any flight operated by Singapore Airlines and Scoot, Flight to be paid cash not with points. Totally cash, so it cannot be subject to partial payment with points or through the use of vouchers or other means of payment.
The Participant will be entitled to the Award upon completion of the applicable Flight Segment, provided that the Applicable flight segment is completed within (3) months from the first day of the month of the Participant's birthday.
My birthday is October 27, which means I will get the bonus if I make a qualifying flight between October 1 and December 31.
The number of Bonus Miles that will be credited to Participants eligible for the Award will be determined based on the respective KrisFlyer membership level:
- 1,000 miles KrisFlyer member bonus;
- 1,500 miles bonus for KrisFlyer Elite Silver and KrisFlyer Elite Gold members; E
- 2,000 miles bonus for PPS Club members.
Currently the promo is valid through 2023, But it may not be renewed again next year.
