Wizz Air will be the first European airline with an Airbus A321neo assembled in China
The new aircraft is in the final stages of assembly on the Airbus line in Tianjin and will be delivered to Wizz Air four years after it receives its first A321neo in 2019.

Wizz Air's 92nd Airbus A321neo will be a special aircraft, not only because it is yet another "newcomer" within Wizz Air's global fleet to beyond the 50%, but because it will be the first to come from Airbus facilities in Tianjin, and the Hungarian low-cost carrier will thus be the first in Europe to have a Chinese-made Airbus in its fleet.
Wizz Air has the largest confirmed order book for the Airbus A321neo in Europe and, part of its "WIZZ500 ambition." plans to add another 355 aircraft by the end of the decade.
The Airbus A321neo is the most efficient narrow-body aircraft flying today, with 239 seats in a single-class configuration. Equipped with a Pratt and Whitney GTF engine, the aircraft offers the lowest fuel consumption per passenger to help Wizz Air reduce fuel costs and provide the lowest carbon intensity of any major European airline.
The aircraft also offers additional benefits such as 30% fuel consumption, 50% CO2 savings, and a nearly 50% reduction in noise footprint compared to the previous generation aircraft. The delivery flight is powered by a 10% blend of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
