In the past few months, we had talked about the improvement work being done at T4 of New York's JFK, one of the busiest terminals for Italian passengers, probably the second one behind T1 the one where ITA Airways and Neos operate. In fact, Emirates flies to T4 with direct from Milan, but especially Delta with flights to Italy from New York as well as other widely used carriers such as KLM and Swiss.
Since 2010, Delta has invested more than $7 billion in infrastructure at its New York airports, including a $1.5 billion expansion project at JFK, launched in late 2021.

In January 2023, Delta consolidated all operations at Terminal 4, opening 10 new gates in the modern and spacious Concourse A and making technological improvements designed to maximize ease and efficiency during busy travel periods, including self-service check-in kiosks and upgraded baggage drop-off points. An expansion of Concourse B, scheduled for completion in the fall of 2023, will include 28 gates capable of accommodating various types of aircraft, upgraded restrooms, and an expanded security checkpoint and baggage claim area.

The new opening near gate A7 can accommodate more than 250 guests and includes a covered Sky Deck, Will operate together with the Club at Terminal 4, Concourse B. Together, the two clubs will have a capacity of more than 800 guests at JFK simultaneously.
The design of the lounge is inspired by New York City itself-a city full of contrasts and life. Just as real New Yorkers have their favorite haunts, the JFK T4-A lounge includes undiscovered locations that are sure to become favorites of regular guests.

A room with a fireplace provides a cozy environment for work or relaxation, while guests enjoy breathtaking views of the terminal. A hidden corner with lush green seating evokes the elegance and privacy of a classic speakeasy. An exclusive 360-degree premium bar serves as the centerpiece of the Club: a grand and inviting space fit for the city that never sleeps.
"This new club is beautifully designed and full of special details that reflect the magic of New York City," said Claude Roussel, CEO of Delta Sky Club. "But more importantly, it is a place where our staff can offer the hospitality typical of the Delta Sky Club, making every guest feel welcomed and cared for from the moment they enter."
As part of the Delta Sky Club's commitment to highlighting emerging local chefs through its Local Flavour program, the JFK T4-A Club will feature the work of Elyssa Heller, founder and CEO of Edith's Eatery & Grocery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. T4-A Club guests can enjoy Elyssa's interpretations of Jewish food specialties. Elyssa's recipes will be featured in the Club through the end of September.
