It is unclear who the previous owner was, but Global Airlines announced in a press release that it had concluded The purchase of three Airbus A380s, obviously second-hand.
In recent weeks we had told about the first A380 in Global livery., a peculiar plane since it is the only giant of the skies to have flown for two different airlines: Singapore Airlines and Hi Fly.
Who is Global Airlines
Global Airlines, is a new long-haul airline, aiming to operate a fleet consisting entirely of A380s.
Launched earlier this year with aspirations to offer passengers the best way to fly. The airline is a wholly owned subsidiary of Holiday Swap and is based in London, UK. It is led by CEO James Asquith and supported by aviation experts and investors around the world. Inaugural transatlantic flights are scheduled for spring 2024.
Global Airlines plans to use its fleet of owned A380 aircraft to reinvigorate the flying experience with the unparalleled spaciousness offered by the super jumbo.
The new A380s in the fleet
The company announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire three more A380s. With the purchase of these aircraft, the airline's fleet development reaches a new milestone with four A380s now lined up to begin operations in spring 2024.
The additional aircraft were purchased for an undisclosed sum and he is now developing plans for their reassembly and return to service. More details about the aircraft, acquisition and renovation will be published in the coming months.

The A380s could be those of China Southern, which have flown until November 2022, or those Malaysian Airlines, practically new, and put up for sale following the pandemic from the Asian vector.
Global Airlines also announced additional appointments to its advisory board; Pierre Madrange and Ian Black.
Pierre Madrange is a former fighter pilot in the French Air Force. who later served as chief operating officer at XL Airways, managing director of SR Technics and was vice president of NAVBLUE, an Airbus company.
Ian Black is an experienced commercial pilot and former military man. He has performed commercial operations in the Far East, Australasia, India, Dubai and Europe. He worked for a major UK long-haul airline for more than 25 years as a senior Airbus/Boeing fleet captain. He has extensive experience in long-haul flying and cumulatively has flown 20,000 hours on A330/340-300/340-600 and Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

James Asquith, founder and CEO of Global Airlines, said.: "We are also pleased to announce that we have agreed to purchase three more A380s to join the global fleet. As I have always said, the A380 is the best aircraft in the sky and we will continue to look for additional acquisition opportunities."
In conclusion
Hard to say whether this is a marketing operation or the real launch of a new company, buying an A380 today is very cheap, in fact it is probably almost free.

It is a different matter to put it back into operation to fly again. We have seen with Lufthansa how much time and work it takes to bring a plane like this back into service from hibernation.

If we then add up any restyling costs planned for the interior we are talking about hundreds of millions of dollars worth of investment, not peanuts.
