Wizz Air is celebrating the arrival of its seventh Airbus A321neo aircraft at its base at Milan Malpensa Airport. The increase in capacity allows Wizz Air to increase flight frequency and improve its product offerings for customers. In addition, the new Airbus A321neo boasts fuel-efficient technology, resulting in further reductions in Wizz Air's CO2 emissions per passenger/kilometer.
In addition, Wizz Air has opened a new route connecting Milan to Madrid on a daily basis, Wizz Air's first flight to the Spanish capital was launched today, joining new routes inaugurated at Malpensa in recent months, including those to Cairo and Hurghada in Egypt, and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia.
Since Wizz Air established its first base in Italy in 2020, it has introduced more than 50 new routes previously not served in the market and created more than 1,000 direct jobs.
