If airlines abroad are very active with football sponsorships, the same thing is not the case in Italy where only Emirates with Milan has been present for years. Etihad, Qatar and the new Riyadh Air are very much present on the fields of half of Europe. The only exception in Italy is SS Lazio, which, however, attracts mainly small companies at the start-up level.

Aeroitalia's numbers
Aeroitalia was founded in 2022 at the behest of its investor Marc Bourgade (president). The wholly privately owned Italian airline is led by CEO Gaetano Francesco Intrieri.
Aeroitalia's first flight activity was on the charter segment in May 2022, and in July 2022 the first scheduled flight was operated instead. Currently, the network is articulated by serving 27 destinations and, as of Feb. 17, 2023, following the awarding of the Territorial Continuity tender, operates over Sardinia with flights from Olbia to Milan Linate and Rome Fiumicino and from Alghero to Rome Fiumicino.
As of July 2023, the company carried more than half a million passengers. The fleet currently consists of 5 189-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft, 1 149-seat Boeing 737-700 aircraft, and 2 68-seat ATR/72 600 aircraft. An additional Boeing 737/800 is expected to join in the coming weeks.
The Company's goal is to meet a demand for air transportation, which adapts to changing market needs by going to fill the space created after the closure of other Italian airlines, developing a competitive aviation product.
