An airport swimming pool
It is not the only airport in the world to have a swimming pool, Doha and other airports also have it, but the one in Singapore is definitely special in that it is on the roof of the building and has a view of the runway, not exactly an everyday occurrence.
Certainly the one on the runway at JFK in New York is more unique, But it is located inside a decommissioned terminal now converted into a hotel.
The swimming pool is located at terminal 1, near the transit hotel. It is accessible daily from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. Access is chargeable and costs 27sgd.
No matter which terminal your flight departs from, you can enter any of the four indifferently and move around without any limitation, only bummer if you depart from T4. it is not connected by Skytrain and takes longer. My advice is to visit the Jewel and then enter T1 directly.
Where the pool is located
Swimming pool and Aerotel are located on the floor above the stores and departure gates. If you enter the airport at Terminal 1 just turn right as you pass through security.
If you use the Skytrain instead, the T1 stop is just below the pool, so just follow the obligatory path to find the escalator to the pool on the right.
Since I launched TFC this is the fourth time step from Singapore, but the first in which I was able to visit the pool. The first time it was still closed due to Covid, the others I always passed by after opening hours, this time I didn't let the opportunity to take a dip pass me by.
No need to make reservations, just go to the site and pay the entrance fee, just like at any bathhouse. And if you are without a costume, you can buy one directly at the front desk.
A small beach club
First, the weather helps since rains aside, Singapore is always more or less hot. In addition to the pool, there is a large jacuzzi, sunbeds and loungers, and an ever-present chiringuito.
The ease of moving between terminals allows all passengers departing from Changi to take advantage of this service. Personally, however, I recommend visiting the Jewel and then if you have extra time pop into the pool.
You can stay there for 5 minutes or all afternoon, no one will have anything to say.

In my crazy 24h "prisoner" of the airport, I couldn't help but take a dip in the pool. and have a cocktail while admiring the movements on the runway. If you have children, this option might be the perfect mode to tire them out, while having fun, before getting on the plane and collapsing.
