Bangkok airport is a huge single terminal, there are more than 20 lounges . Few are in the area of domestic flights, and the vast majority are in the international area. It's an airport I pass through often, and I enjoy trying a different lounge each time. Today I was flying Air France and instead of going to the proprietary lounge. I preferred to try the only other Skyteam lounge in the airport that of China Airlines.
Location
In this article:
The lounge is located next to Turkish's and Japan Airlines' lounges, If you are traveling on a oneWorld or Star Alliance ticket. e you have the opportunity to enter the lounge one is spoiled for choice, while Skyteam passengers, exclusive of independent lounges, have little choice.
Access
This lounge is accessed with a China Airlines business class ticket, or any Skyteam carrier. Of course if you have Elite+ status you also have access with a guest and in any class of travel.
The lounge
Upon my arrival, the attendant reminded me that. I could have used the Air France KLM lounge., which is one of the largest in the airport, but I told her I preferred to try this one I had never visited. With a Thai smile and after taking my ticket photo and requesting that I sign some sort of guest register, she seated me.
The room is small, but tastefully furnished. Very relaxing pleasant background music keeps guests company. The best thing is definitely the view of the garden outside the airport. Few lounges have a view, and for me it is definitely an added value compared to lounges where the lighting is only artificial.
I, of course, sat and worked in front of the window, partly because of the presence of so many outlets,
It is a small open space with less than 50 seats, but I think it is adequate for the traffic this carrier generates on BKK. There is a computer station and a massage chair.
There is also a VVIP room, but it was inaccessible during my visit, or at least not accessible to me.
Food & Beverage
There is a small buffet, but it is well stocked. There are different types of Chinese dishes and also a fair supply of Western products.
As in almost every lounge in Bangkok, there is a cooler with ice cream and a cooler with fresh fruit.
In conclusion
In some ways it is better than the nice AF/KLM lounge, which also being open to Priority Pass holders is often crowded. Admittedly the buffet is small, but considering that I was leaving at 10 a.m. and had already had breakfast at the hotel and on the plane you will eat almost immediately after takeoff it was not a huge problem, quite the contrary.

Pro
- The view of the garden
- Clean and well-maintained
- Uncrowded
