Right on time today came the new promotion dedicated to Hilton Honors members valid from the beginning of September to the end of the year. In keeping with tradition, the loyalty program of the world's second-largest hotel chain launches three promotions a year valid for all members.
After bonus points to discover new brands at the beginning of the year, and the current promo that gives away 4000 points when staying at a resort, or 2000 in all other hotels, now comes a double/triple points promo for the latter part of 2023.
As always I try to maximize my accumulation strategies., for example I often make mattress run jumping from one hotel to another. In the case of Hilton Honors I need it for To arrive at the 30 stays required to obtain the Diamond level And to maximize the accumulation of points. Above is a recent stay of mine in Phuket, where I had two nights, not consecutive nights, which allowed me to accumulate a total of more than 17 thousand HHonors points with only two stays, totaling less than €250. Considering that 17,000 points is enough for a free night in lots of hotels, it is a great haul.
Of course I have the hustle of having to check in/out, but if I travel light (and alone) I don't mind and I need the points to treat myself to dream vacations That totally repays me for the efforts made to accumulate them.
The last promo of 2023
The promotion allows you to earn double points on each stay in all Hilton properties around the world, the interesting thing though is. The second option that allows you to get triple points in a number of cities Usa to Euorpe, Asia to Oceania. Unfortunately, however, no hotels in Italy are on the X3 list, but if you are planning to travel beware of the'list of facilities to maximize promotion'.
If you are planning to stay in New York you will be happy to get triple points at all facilities as well as in Barcelona, London, Berlin, Bangkok, Tokyo and many other locations around the world.
Registration is free and, as I repeat every time, Must be done regardless. To be valid and get the bonus points, it must be activated before check-out.
Compared to the summer promotion that rewarded stays with a dry bonus, regardless of the base points accumulated, this promotion rewards those who spend more than those who make many small stays. So do your math well before you book
Which points are doubled
There is often confusion when it comes to double/triple points. It is good to remember that it is only the base points that are multiplied and not the total points that are accumulated with a stay which instead depend on so many other factors.
Above is a statement from one of my stay at the Doubletree Milan Malpensa. As you can see it is the 910 base points that are doubled, not the bonuses related to status and Myway benefits. The same is true when you opt for the X2 rate, which doubles only, and always, the base points.
It was not a rich year for Hilton Honors promotions 2023
Hilton points are worth less than Marriott points, the two programs adopt markedly different policies, and this results in different generosity when it comes to promotions. Hilton, however, is always promoting, and that helps even those who takes advantage of the free status included in American Express Platinum, to put points in their pockets that (almost) never expire and that can be used for a couple of free nights or as a base on which to build some more important stays if needed.
This year we have not seen ultra-generous promotions as in the recent past and not even qualifying double-night promotions, we'll see if Hilton Honors adds more bonuses to its members' stays between now and the end of the year. There is then often the promo that gives double points when you you buy points to make award reservations and here you can even achieve savings of tens of thousands if you take advantage of the right promo.

Registered Hilton Honors members who check in before September 6, 2023 will receive bonus points for their stay if the stay is completed on or before and before or December 31, 2023.
Registered Hilton Honors members will earn double points per stay during the promotion period or triple points for a stay in a selected market. The full list of 3X eligible markets is available here.
There is no limit to the total amount of Bonus Points that can be earned during the promotion period with this offer.
