JAL will introduce the new A350 for the first time, in business class, on Oct. 2

Japan's flag carrier is set to raise the curtain on new premium cabins and will debut its new flagship, the A350-1000 on the Tokyo-New York route in late November, everything on board will be new and "never seen before."
The new suites will be unveiled on October 2, as confirmed in recent days by the Japanese carrier participating in the oneWorld alliance. A move that JAL's is expected since shortly before the ANA pandemic it had unveiled its new cabins that immediately became world leaders. JAL thus joins the long list of carriers that are in the process of launching new cabins, and from the way they are being told you can bet they will have a door that can completely isolate the passenger from the aisle. The latest company in chronological order to announce new cabins has been Cathay Pacific in recent weeks.
The airline had previously stated that the A350-1000 would "provide an unprecedented new experience" for passengers, which could indicate a new approach to first class and potentially business class.
Today, JAL already has in its fleet the small version of the A350 that is used on short- to medium-haul routes, while in total it has 13 A350/1000s on order: the first two A350-1000s will arrive by the end of this year, with seven more expected by the end of 2025 and the last four expected by 2028.
This fleet of 13 A350-1000s will allow Japan Airlines to retire its 13 Boeing 777-300ERs, and the long-haul fleet will then consist of A350s and B787s pending the arrival (sooner or later) of the 777x.
