If you fly to Tokyo with Emirates from today you can use the free bus to reach the city center

Emirates economy passengers now receive a pampering that even business and first class passengers do not have. This is because the Emirates company is famous for its Chaffeur Service, which escorts premium passengers to and from airports, but in Tokyo this service is not currently offered, as I happened to experience firsthand recently.

How the service works

Emirates will be the only air carrier in Japan to offer a Free bus service from Haneda Airport to major train stations in Tokyo, providing the company's customers with an efficient and seamless transportation solution to two important arrival points: the iconic Tokyo Station (TYQ) at the north entrance of Marunouchi and the bustling Shinagawa Station (SGS) at the No. 7 bus stop at the Konan entrance.

The new service will be available at the charter bus parking lot in Terminal 3 of Haneda Airport, equipped with a three-letter IATA code, allowing passengers to smoothly arrange their reservations to the final stations.

Certainly they won't be like the buses EK uses in Dubai to move its most important passengers, but the two buses will be full optionals, including easily accessible on-board bathrooms, and will take passengers to their destinations without stress.

Choosing to help passengers

Flight EK312, operated daily with a 777/300 one of the few set up with the Gamechanger, the most exclusive and beautiful first-class suite in the entire Emirates fleet, lands at 10:35 p.m. local time. Passengers then have to go through customs, so you hardly leave the airport before midnight, making it inconvenient to use public transportation to get to your destination. This is probably why Emirates decided to activate this service only on Haneda and not on Narita where it flies daily with an A380, but with the flight landing in the late afternoon.

Two buses to two focal points of Tokyo

Given how big Tokyo is and how far apart travelers' hotels can be from each other EK chose to have two destinations:

• Bus number EK7034 departs Haneda International Airport at 00:01 a.m. and arrives at Tokyo Station (TYQ) at 00:40.
• Bus number EK7036 departs Haneda International Airport at 00:01 a.m. and arrives at Shinagawa Station (SGS) at 00:30.

Free daily service provides convenient and efficient connectivity for Emirates passengers, which will be able to reach central points in Tokyo in about 40 minutes or less. Given the cost of transportation in Japan's capital city, this service allows passengers to save a minimum of 10 euros per person, but most importantly it helps to move late at night, with luggage to the city center.
