One of TFC's biggest flaws is that I don't talk enough about "other" hotel chain loyalty programs, but I promise to try to emphasize (at least) the main news and offers.
Promotion
IHG has announced a promotion offering 1,000 bonus British Airways Avios for stays of two nights or more.
The promotion is valid for bookings and stays completed by October 31, 2023. To participate in the promotion, you must be a member of both programs and the profile ONE rewards must have set with the accumulation preference on BA Avios.
How to link the two accounts
To take advantage of the promotion, you must select British Airways as your preferred IHG partner to earn points, not IHG One Rewards. However, doing so is easy and you can change your preference again when the promotion ends.
Log in to your IHG One Rewards account and, on the account page, click on "Preferences"
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and in the accumulation preference box select "Airline Miles." Select British Airways from the drop-down menu and enter your frequent flyer number and name.
Since this procedure is reversible whenever you want, my advice is, once the promo expires, go back to direct accumulation of ONE Rewards points.
