As is well known the Executive Club program for the past few days has changed the way avios are allocated prize. It was passed From a system based on distance flown to one that takes into account how much you have spent (after tax) and the status held.
Promotion
To activate the promotion, it is necessary to register via the appropriate page on the website by BA. Once activated it will be valid for the first 10 flights made by next January 14, 2024.
Tickets to be eligible for this promotion must be booked by Nov. 21 e last valid flight must arrive by Jan. 14. In doing so, all executive club users will accumulate double the expected avios points based on status on all expenses incurred, thus including any extras such as extra luggage or seat selection.
Plus, by booking a vacation package you will also accumulate 2 Avios for every £1 spent.
As explained in the FAQ, it is not the order in which the flight is taken that counts. This means that the first 10 flights in chronological order since the offer was activated count, so you have to consider well when to activate the promo if you have a lot of flights scheduled.
The accumulation table
The total eligible expenditure for your first 10 qualifying flights is then multiplied according to the level held:

In conclusion
Accumulation based on spending is becoming a standard metric in all major programs, obviously a solution that pleases the companies not the true frequent flyers. If these promotions are launched, however, it may be a panacea that softens the bitterness over the reverse devaluation implemented by BA.
