Tokyo Narita is an important airport for the Hong Kong company, you can tell by the size of the lounge, CX could also save on rent and pay JAL for the use of its lounges and instead prefers to be present with a really big lounge.

In recent years, Narita airport has lost traffic and appeal to Haneda. Even ITA since it landed in Tokyo has routed to the more central and convenient stopover for travel than this airport. however, so many airlines continue to fly from here as well giving travelers a choice.

The hall is located on level 2, one floor below that of the stores, past customs you head to the left and Before arriving at the corridor leading to Gate 71 you will find directions and escalators to this room.

Access

Cathay Pacific's flagship A350, here's how to fly business class using Avios points

When I checked in I was given a voucher to gain access to this lounge, strange being an owner it should be enough to have a boarding pass, instead upon my arrival I was specifically asked for a voucher. Being an official oneWorld lounge, access is also granted to those traveling in business with an alliance company, or hold Sapphire status or higher.

The Lounge

The first thing that needs to be said is that this lounge has a crazy view of the terminal. Being at a lower level than usual also gives a different view.

Of course beautiful visuals also means lots of natural light, something that for me is crucial in a lounge. There is no comparison between an environment lit by natural light and a lounge where instead there are no windows and the lighting is only artificial. The lounge is really big, I have no idea how many flights Cathay has from this airport, but it must not be few if it has a lounge with more than 200 seats.

There are three environments. The first is the whole area with seating in front of the stained glass windows,

Then there are those in the second row, and finally there is the restaurant area. Here, too, the rooms are divided into more than one section.

My favorite area is the one on the opposite end from the entrance; there is a circular sofa with a killer view. If you want to relax, however, there are armchairs, definitely suitable for taking a nap while waiting for your flight (but be sure to set your alarm).

Food & Beverage

There is a buffet, but I must say that I was really glad that I aimed to have breakfast in JAL's First Class lounge, everything here is in the norm, nothing comparable to what JAL offers in its lounge.

In conclusion

Personally, I recommend taking a look at JAL's Sakura., it is not far away and is definitely better (I am not sure because I have not visited the business one, only the first class one) In any case great service,  beautiful view and plenty of space to wait away from stress for one's flight.

The verdict
It's an extra point just because there is a lounge of this size and quality. Of course it doesn't compare to what CX offers in Hong Kong, but we are talking about an airport away from its hub. If you can get in there a tour is worth it especially for the view of the runway and the lots and lots of light.
