Marriott Bonvoy and United MileagePlus have entered into a partnership, an opportunity that offers mutual benefits. An activity that will allow them to have their cake and eat it, or as we Ligurians say Sciûsciâ and sciorbî simultaneously.

With an activity similar to the one between Marriott and Emirates, But at the moment only for the next two months there will be a very profitable dual crediting opportunity.
Earn Marriott points if you fly United, or United miles if you stay Marriott
Until next Dec. 9, hotel stays credited on Marriott Bonvoy and flights credited on MileagePlus will give away more points according to the following pattern:
- Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador and Titanium members can earn 750 bonus Bonvoy points per United ticket
- United MileagePlus Premier 1K, Platinum and Gold members can earn 500 bonus MileagePlus miles per Marriott stay
To participate, you must be enrolled in the partnership between the two programs. Registration for this promotion is required between October 10 and December 9, 2023, and those are also the same dates when the promotion is valid
What are the suitable stays/flights
Did you get your flight cancelled, miss your connection, land late?
You could get up to 600€ compensation per person
Eligible stays and flights must begin within the promotion period, i.e., round-trip flights and/or hotel check-in must begin by December 9, 2023. Eligible stays and flights booked before October 10 that fall within the promotion period also count toward the offer. There is no limit to the number of eligible stays and flights for which you can be awarded.
Which stays/flights are NOT eligible
Marriott Bonvoy members who select miles as their accumulation preference in their Marriott Bonvoy account are not eligible for this promotion, of course Marriott stays booked with points and United flights booked with miles are not eligible for this promotion
In conclusion
Killing two birds with one stone is every serial point accumulator's dream and in this case the promotion allows you to accumulate points in both programs with one activity, now let's hope that this test becomes "structural" as is the case with Air France and Accor or as mentioned between Marriott and Emirates.
It probably won't change your mind about a stay or a flight, but if you have the opportunity to take advantage of it, it's a nice extra reward that costs the "loyal" customer nothing.
