Volotea confirms the strategic importance in its development plans of the Naples base, announcing two new international additions to the destinations at Capodichino: from March 21, 2024, it will be possible to take off to Athens (with 2 frequencies per week, on Thursdays and Sundays), while from April 11 it will fly to Lyon (2 frequencies per week, on Thursdays and Sundays).

This brings to 24 the number of destinations connected by Volotea to Naples airport, for a total of 8 domestic and 16 international routes. In addition, it should not be forgotten that, as of from Dec. 20, 2023, the new flight to Bordeaux will take off from Capodichino for the Christmas season, and then continue into the summer season. Already announced this summer, the connection will be operated exclusively by Volotea and will have 2 weekly frequencies.

This makes 24 destinations connected by Volotea to Naples airport: 8 in Italy (Cagliari, Genoa, Lampedusa, Olbia, Palermo, Pantelleria, Turin and Venice), 10 at the time of the Greece (Athens - News 2024, Kefalonia, Heraklion/Creta, Karpathos, Mykonos, Preveza/Lefkada, Rhodes, Santorini, Skiathos, and Zakynthos), 4 in France (Lyon - News 2024, Lourdes, Nantes and Bordeaux), 1 in Spain (Bilbao) and 1 in Denmark (Aalborg).

Le 24 destinations to 5 different countries Europe will allow the carrier to consolidate its presence at its Naples base of operations. In fact, for next year Volotea aims to operate more than 3,500 flights, with an offer of more than 627,000 places for sale, as it records a +7% compared to 2023. Ambitious goals that best reflect the company's commitment to the local level.
Finally, for 2024 Volotea will confirm the employment generated by the airline's presence at the Naples base, which to date has more than 60 direct jobs and over 340 indirect jobs.
