Italy, one of the most popular destinations for TUI guests, has a new flying "ambassador" at the end of a successful summer season. Naples, the southern Italian metropolis, is on the livery of TUI fly's modern Boeing 737-8.

The plane, which landed in Naples with flight number X3 8983 with 170 passengers on board, was welcomed by the impressive christening ceremony attended by Felice Casucci, Campania Regional Councilor for Tourism, Rosanna Romano, Director General of Cultural Policies and Tourism of the Campania Region, Margaret Chiaramonte, Aviation Commercial Director of GESAC, Luca D'Ambra, President of Federalberghi Ischia and Procida, Sebastian Ebel, Chief Executive Officer of TUI Group and Marco Ciomperlik, Chief Airline Officer.
The Godfather of the event, Councillor Felice Casucci,commented, "We are honored that Italy, and Naples in particular, becomes a 'flying' ambassador for TUI, a strategic partner for incoming tourism to our region."
"We are pleased to name our new aircraft here in Naples after the city. This aircraft symbolizes the more than 50-year connection TUI has with Italy. Our planes are part are part of the travel experience and this TUI Boeing will be an ambassador for all of Italy and our guests. More than half a million tourists travel with us each year in northern and southern Italy, where we have a strong market position with 400 direct employees and seven TUI-branded hotels and clubs. During the summer season we fly to Naples 18 times a week."

Naples and its breathtaking surroundings stand out as one of the most popular destinations in Europe, the ideal choice for tourists interested in culture, history, sun and sea and, last but not least, for those seeking excellence in food and wine."
