I just transited through the new, fantastic, airport in Abu Dhabi. Although technically the airport is not new, but the terminal is new, but since all travel will go through here it is as if the airport is new.

A total of 28 international airlines Are now fully operational from Terminal A, the new facility at Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH). All airlines operating from Abu Dhabi International Airport have now moved to Terminal A, marking a significant increase in the capacity of the new terminal.
Terminal A is now the main terminal serving Abu Dhabi International Airport, with flights arriving and departing from the emirate, which will use the available state-of-the-art facilities. Two lounges for all passengers
There are two lounges available to passengers, or perhaps it would be better to say three. Etihad has an entire wing of the terminal available. The lounge is spread over three floors. It is something really huge, but I was not blown away by it. Then there is an independent lounge that is accessible with Priority pass that I will visit in the next few days.
In conclusion
Direct flights from Italy are currently operated by Etihad, which flies from Milan and Rome, and Wizz Air, which connects Bari, Catania, and Naples with this airport.
