I had written this when it was announced Qatar Airways' sponsorship of Inter Milan., Sooner or later, the possibility of booking match tickets would come, of the team currently at the top of Serie A, using points from the Doha-based airline's loyalty program, And that day has already come.

We can say that this is the first bombshell of 2024, although perhaps it would be better to say it is the fireworks salute to 2023.

How it works

It is obviously need to be enrolled in Qatar's loyalty program, to participate, and thus buy or bid, you must have Avios on a Qatar Privilege Club account. Since last year it has been possible to combine British, Iberia and Qatar accounts, and this is a great advantage for those interested in these experiences.

Points cannot be moved Membership Rewards in Qatar Avios points, but you can move to British and then merge the profiles.

Important things to know

You must have enough Avios on your Qatar Privilege Club account, you will then not be able to bid more than your Avios balance current and you will not be able to set an automatic future bid above the balance.

For example, if you own 200,000 Avios and your partner has 150,000 Avios, the total family balance is 350,000 Avios. However, the maximum amount that can be used to bid in a Privilege Club Collection auction is limited to your personal balance, which is 200,000 Avios.
