EVA Air's lounge at Bangkok airport is the most orginal of all

If there is one thing Bangkok airport does not lack, it is airport lounges, making it all convenient then is that (for a little while yet) it is one huge airport terminal, I have no idea whether the new Abu Dhabi airport's Terminal A has passed him. otherwise it is the largest in the world and is in the Guinness books.

Location

We are at the far end of the slipway, in the area of Pier F, the last one before the end of the terminal. From the side opposite the Air France KLM lounge and shortly after that of Oman Air.

Even from the outer portal it stands out for its originality and is nothing compared to what lies within.

Access

EVA Air participates in the Star Alliance alliance, so entry is allowed for those flying business with this airline and all Gold Star Alliance status holders.

Among the benefits those with status can enter accompanied by a visitor for free, which is not possible if you are traveling in business and the other passenger is not.

The lounge

The entrance is spatial and perfectly aligned with what's beyond the reception area.

I arrived that there was a beautiful sunset and left that by now it was all dark, and there the effect in the lounge was even more beautiful.

The dark décor, the play of LED lights, and the design of the carpeting all make it far above the competition. Sure Thai's lounge is bright and big, but this one is much better.

Not only is it cool from a design standpoint, but it is also one of the few in the entire airport that has a view of the runway and not the "back," and anyone who reads TFC knows what I look for in a lounge.

For a couple of hours I was the only guest since I entered when the last passengers were leaving the hall to go to the gate of the flight leaving for Taipei and left just before the passengers of the next flight arrived. Affecting the crowding of this lounge is definitely the fact that it is very decentralized, but if I walk 5 minutes to have such a lounge to myself, I do it whenever I can.

The hall is divided into three rooms, with lots of different kinds of seating. I placed myself at the small tables near the glass window, but there are really many possible accommodations. The central part is the most beautiful and original with the ceiling with a forest of fiber optics in the middle.

Even the entrance to the restrooms is reminiscent of Gardaland's Blue Tornado rather than a lounge. Of course, the facilities are also nice. Now I feel like going to Taipei to see the lounge at EVA Air's home, and maybe it will be an opportunity to fly aboard Hello Kitty.

There is also a small room for working on the PC, just past the entrance.

Food & Beverate

Absolutely promoted in this respect as well. The buffet area has light marble floor and black walls and ceiling; it looks like a trendy location in New York, not a lounge in Bangkok.

The offerings are varied and of quality. I went for Chinese dumplings and a Thai dish. High marks for the cuisine as well; if you wanted, there was also fresh coconut to quench your thirst.

Outside the buffet area is the beverage island, again nothing to complain about. This lounge, in this airport, is inferior only to the Qatar Airways lounge, but since in the QR one you enter only if you travel in business, and not with status, this one deserves the same rating because it is much more accessible.

In conclusion

I never expected such a nice lounge, of course it's not in the central area of the airport, but "whatever" if you fly business with Star Alliance carriers, or have Gold status leave those of Thai or Singapore alone and come here without any second thoughts.
