ITA Airways call Milan. The national airline Aims for passengers residing in the Lombard capital city and in the northwest, left 'orphaned' since last January 8 by the nonstop flight between Milan Malpensa and New York.
He does so with An almost must-have offer: triple points from its loyalty program 'Volare' to all those who through Feb. 29 will book One flight sold and operated by ITA Airways departing from Milan Linate (via Rome Fiumicino) with final destination New York JFK to fly by May 31, 2024.
Of course, even without ITA, the supply of nonstop flights between Milan and New York is still notablee: Until the Italian carrier's farewell, Milan was (along with London) the city connected to the Big Apple by the most airlines in the world. And even today nonstop flights are operated by American Airlines, Delta Airlines, Neos, Emirates (who all fly into JFK), United Airlines to La Compagnie (who fly into Newark Airport).
But, should the need for a nonstop flight not be a priority, ITA's offer is one not to be missed, also in view of the fact that in terms of passenger services and flight punctuality, Fiumicino has for years now been considered among the best (when not the best) European airports.
Far more reliable in terms of punctuality than other classic European hubs often used by passengers from northern Italy to fly abroad or to other continents, including Munich, Frankfurt, London Heathrow, Paris Charles De Gaulle and Amsterdam Schipol.
ITA Airways operations from Linate to New York JFK. provides the option of departing from Milan city airport at 8 a.m. with arrival at JFK at 3:25 p.m. (after a one-hour and 15-minute stopover at Fiumicino) or at 12 p.m. with arrival at JFK at 7:55 p.m. (one-hour and 40-minute stopover at FCO).
On the return trip, one can take off from New York at 5:35 p.m. or 10 p.m. with arrival at Linate at 9:10 a.m. or 2:10 p.m., respectively, the following day (and stopovers at Fiumicino of one hour and five minutes in the former case and one hour and 35 minutes in the latter).
